The guy behind me really did me a favor when he harshly honked his horn. (Now THAT is alliteration! ) But do I really need to scream and shout? Is it really necessary to get my kids’, my students’… my husband’s attention? I love this statement:
“It’s not the volume of your voice as much as the authority in your voice and countenance that will get their attention.”
