Beyond Common Sense

Nobody likes change, unless it’s an upgrade. Well, eventually, that is what this will be. I have looked into a different platform for presenting my blogs called Substack. (Who comes up with these names: Amazon, Google, Blue Apron, Substack?) ANYWAY, Substack is sort of like an all-in-one place. I can blog, send newsletters, post notes, and podcast all in the same place.

I WILL KEEP POSTING HERE for now, but if you want to subscribe for FREE (I’m never going to get rich offering all this free stuff! Oh, yeah, that’s not my goal! LOL) I have a brand new short story that I’ll send your way when you subscribe to Substack.

This short story, “Hesed, Demon-possessed Slave Girl,” may be the most intense short story I’ve ever written. Hesed (a ficticious name) is the demon-possessed slave girl who continues to follow Paul saying, “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation” (Acts 16:17). Who was she? Why was she a slave girl, why was she demon-possessed, and what was it like for her to be freed from them? I’d LOVE to send it your way!

Thanks for all your support. It really helps to hear from folks, and God seems to know just when I need a word of encouragement. Writing is a roller coaster ride, and authors often feel like they are the only ones in the park! I was recently encouraged to choose a Bible verse for my writing. It is now my phone screen:

“Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.”
