On June 12-14, I’ll be speaking and “vending” at the CHAP (Christian Homeschool Association of Pennsylvania) Conference in Elizabethtown, PA. It’s been on my bucket list, but now that it’s so close, I must say, I’m nervous! What do I know? Well, on second thought…
- I did homeschool for fourteen years.
- I taught in the public school system for over 10 years
- I’ve taught in three different Christian schools
- I’ve been a teacher and student of the Bible for over forty years!
I was probably in my forties when I finally realized that God made me to teach. Whether it’s history or grammar or my favorite Book, the Bible, I love to teach, and I’ve turned those skills into my writing platform, expressing it with my brand-new motto:

Why would I do this? Well, the conference was suggested to me as a great opportunity for my Christian historical fiction novels. Many homeschoolers are avid readers and gravitate to well-documented material. (Did you know that “Spirit Rock” has seventy-four entries of fiction/nonfiction characters listed in the back of the book ?) I do my homework!
So, if you are a homeschooler, come check it out. It looks AMAZING! And don’t forget to stop by and say, “Hi!”
