They’re only 3-pound weights. What can they do? Am I only using that puny amount because I’m old and weak?
Well, perhaps, but the real reason I switched from 5 pounds to 3 is because I now use them with my “Ab-Ripper” program. I’ve been using this program so long that I have it memorized, and over the years I’ve had to modify it down from 25 reps to 20. That said, there are still nine exercises that I do. 20 X 9 = 180 reps! My arms would fall off if I used the 5-pounders!
Application: Faithfully doing repetitions makes the difference. No, I’m not working out to create massive muscles. I’m just trying to keep toned up. You don’t have to read 20 chapters of the Bible daily to grow in the Lord, but a little EVERY day—a little that you read AND meditated on, allowing it to soak into your heart and change you—will make a difference!
