No, this isn’t a new weight-loss program. One morning at 8:00 AM I picked 15 pounds of strawberries in less than an hour. It was the first day of picking and the picking was amazing! As I was plucking those beautiful scarlet globes, I would turn one over thinking it was ready only to find that its little bottom was still green. It made me think about salvation. Working with people and giving them the gospel is a great joy but sometimes they’re just not ready. We need to be careful to wait until the heart is ripened by the Holy Spirit.
I am so thankful that when I was ready, shouting, “Pick me! Pick me!” my dear Heavenly Father never hesitated for a second but kept his promise and saved my soul.
